Businesses
To deliver and maintain the benefits of ARC, we need the support of the business community. ARC is a means for positive environmental outcomes to be delivered across the region which also bring clear benefits to businesses, communities and landowners.
ARC’s innovative approach to achieving this means that the cost of its work is shared fairly between businesses. The more businesses that are involved and contribute to ARC, the stronger the consortium becomes and the lower the cost is to each contributing business. ARC’s strength is therefore in the number of supporters contributing, and this is also the case for the businesses supporting it.

Landowners
ARC works with landowners, most often farmers, who host the natural flood management (NFM) measures used to achieve environmental and flood risk reduction benefits. With a focus on soil and land management, including soil aeration, grassland planting and hedge planting to achieve these benefits, we also anticipate there will also be opportunities for different types of NFM to be delivered through ARC.
In return for hosting and in some cases maintaining these measures, ARC provides attractive payments to landowners. Please get in touch if you are a landowner in the Aire Valley and are interested in working with ARC.
